Presenting a series of fairy tales narrating three adventures taking place in The Wonder Factory, run by all kinds of creatures crafting Le Marché des Merveilles jewels and charms.
On a warm and peaceful day at The Wonder Factory, the employees are happily working when they hear a loud noise coming from the forest.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!
The noise grows louder and louder, and the ground quakes like someone is hammering the earth. All the animals are confused and panicked, they talk to each other about the noise but no one is sure what is going on. It seems like something enormous is coming towards the factory!
Finally, the thumping stops, and they see a very big elephant. All the animals hide because they are scared. They don’t know what the elephant wants. After a long silence, the elephant shyly steps out from the bushes and waves her trunk in a friendly way. She tries to speak as softly as she can, “Hello everyone! My name is Erawan. Please don’t be scared of me, I’ve come to The Wonder Factory because I want to work here!”
Erawan the Elephant is as tall as a mountain. Her legs are as large as the oldest trees in the forest, her body is even bigger than the factory itself, and her ears are so large that when she flaps them, they create a small whirlwind. After Erawan has been with the animals for a while, they learn that she is very clumsy. She tries to help the others with work but she always ends up breaking everything she touches. Her hands are too large and too strong to craft the delicate jewelry. She often accidentally steps on other animals or bumps them with her buttocks when she turns around.
Erawan becomes very sad because she is not helpful to anyone. She sits alone and cries in the forest behind The Wonder Factory. When Manoch the Monkey finds her, he wants to make her happy again. Manoch brings Erawan the heart-shaped earrings which he has been saving for a special occasion to cheer her up. “Don’t worry, everything will be fine!”
Knowing that someone cares about her, Erawan the Elephant feels much better. She’s actually happy again. So, Erawan goes to the pond nearby to wash her face by spraying the water into the air, and a rainbow appears in the sky! “Wow! I can create a rainbow!”. All the animals in the factory rush out to see the rainbow and everyone smiles.
Soon, Erawan discovers that she can do other things too. On a hot day, she can stand between the factory and the sunlight in order to provide the shade for everyone. On a rainy day, she can cover the factory with her body and nothing gets wet. And on a fine day, which will become her favorite day, she can just make rainbows!
Now everyone in the factory is happy because they know that they will always have the perfect weather for working. More customers are coming to The Wonder Factory too because they have seen the rainbow and heard about this big elephant who can control the weather.
Now Erawan the Elephant is one of the most important animals at The Wonder Factory!
