ALL IN THE DETAILS
At the Cruise 2025 fashion show, Sabato De Sarno reflected on London's contrasts and harmonies in his new collection. The art of embroidery takes center stage, its floral and delicate aesthetic is complemented by the preciscion of its craftsmanship. Fringe and petals embellish relaxed silhouettes, showing unity in contrast, while argyle patterns made from georgette nets are decorated with romantic details.
The collection's looks were accompanied by the Gucci Blondie bag. Embellished by the perfectly rounded emblem which was first introduced by the House in 1971, the new bag intertwines heritage codes with contemporary influence. Styled to be effortlessly worn over the shoulder, the seventies-inspired silhouette is crafted from leather and canvas, at times showcasing the signature GG monogram.
Following Sabato De Sarno's exploration of footwear in his debut collections, Cruise 2025 presented shoes that delved into the House's equestrian inspirations. The Horsebit creeper makes its second appearance, distinguished by its thick sole and laces and the eponymous double ring and bar hardware on top. Meanwhile, the romantic silhouette of the Horsebit ballerina is juxtaposed by the shoe's functional features, a flatter sole for the dynamic movement of everyday life.
