A House Code, Reimagined
Presenting Gucci | Bamboo Encounters, a new exhibition curated and designed by 2050+ and its founder Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli to celebrate the role of bamboo in the House's design history with unique contributions by contemporary designers from around the world.
Contributing designers: Anton Alvarez, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Laurids Gallée, Kite Club (Sheltens & Abbenes, Bertjan Pot), Sisan Lee, Dima Srouji, and the back studio.
Held at the Chiostri di San Simpliciano in Milan, the exhibition will run from April 8 to April 13.
Alongside the exhibition, Gucci and 2050+ will host a series of special talks featuring conversations with the exhibition’s designers, industry guests, and creatives. The program is divided in four acts—each expanding on different dimensions of “encounters,” articulated through imaginaries, materials, crafts, and narratives.

About the Designers
Bamboo has traced a unique path throughout Gucci’s history, inspiring the intertwined dimensions of art, culture, and design with its many meanings and roles. Building upon this rich heritage, the House and 2050+ invited select designers to recontextualize the material in bold and unexpected ways.
