A Concept Store for Culture.
Elected one of the top five best bookstores in the world by International Traveller. Since opening its doors in 2014, Assouline’s first international flagship, Maison Assouline has established itself as  London’s leading cultural concept store, offering visitors an oasis of culture and style in the heart of bustling Piccadilly.
Originally a banking hall designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1922, the Grade II–listed building was one of the most iconic locations in the capital and is now home to the all-encompassing Assouline cultural lifestyle hub.
Elected one of the top five best bookstores in the world by International Traveller, Maison Assouline is the world’s most aspirational retail concept experience – a bookstore like no other, not only selling books focused on fashion, art, architecture, photography, design, and travel, but also custom furniture, unique collections of vintage objects curated by Prosper and Martine Assouline, and featuring regular pop-up exhibitions, a café and the Swans Bar.
Inside the store is an exclusive line of Assouline Interiors furniture, embossed leather book bags, limited-edition pieces including earphones from Master Dynamic, hand-painted decorative plates, and a bespoke bindery for personalised books. Besides the expertly curated bookshelves filled with the latest Assouline releases and rare first editions of classic titles, visitors can also peruse rare works of art discovered on the Assoulines’ travels and discover monthly pop-up themed exhibitions.

Maison Assouline and Gucci
The limited-edition “Blind For Love” book showcases images by artist Nick Waplington documenting the Gucci Cruise 2017 fashion show held inside the Cloisters at Westminster Abbey in June 2016. Published by Assouline, the book was packaged in a slipcase with glided pages and a painted portrait of Queen Elizabeth I on the front cover. “Blind For Love” was presented at Maison Assouline’s store in Piccadilly, London with a special book signing by the artist.
