Chateau Marmont and Gucci
The graphic form of Pan playing his pipe, the Greek god and mascot of Chateau Marmont was first seen on a T-shirt on Gucci’s flame divided runway for the Cruise 2019 show in Arles.
Inspired by a stay at the storied hotel in Los Angeles, Alessandro Michele mixed the cheeky faun with the hotel logo and a Gucci symbol in a lineup of bags, drawstring totes, and ready-to-wear pieces. Pan—who appears on the hotel’s laundry bags, cocktail stirrers and bath amenities, and is also crafted into the water fountain feature—appears together with the Gothic style lettering of the hotel, and a floral bouquet from Gucci's historic Flora motif.
