Vault Presents Palace Gucci in Osaka and Tokyo
In occasion of the new collection, Gucci’s experimental online store makes its first foray into the physical realm.
Created from the vision of Alessandro Michele, Vault is on a constant pursuit of precious wonders and experiences from the past, present, and future. Free-dimensional and forever in flux, Vault is not bound by its digital nature, and arises in a special in-store experience at the Gucci Shinsaibashi Daimaru Satellite store in Osaka-shi to present the House’s Palace Gucci collection.
Under the boundary-pushing impetus of Vault, the boutique will transform into a meeting place where an impossible conversation becomes an inevitable one on October 22, 2022. Its shelves will hold the Palace Gucci collection, for which Creative Director Alessandro Michele has invited the co-founders of Palace Skateboards, Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis, to reinterpret the codes of the House with their brash brand of wild abandon that has been redefining men’s fashion since 2009. Showcased alongside it will be rare vintage Gucci finds customized by illustrator Yuko Higuchi, as well as exclusive capsule collections made just for Vault by contemporary brands such as La Veste, Mondo Mondo, Carel, Abra and Rat Hat. Further portraying the magic that abounds within this expanse of creativity, once broken Herbarium plates from the Gucci Osteria become one-of-a-kind pieces through the art of kintsugi.
