The new men’s Tailoring campaign features Dapper Dan, the Harlem couturier renowned for the custom designs he created for celebrities, athletes and hip-hop artists in the 80s and early 90s.
Shot by Glen Luchford, Daniel 'Dapper Dan' Day appears in a series of portraits around his neighborhood in Harlem, New York, among children playing, skipping on the sidewalks and dodging spouting fire hydrants. The portfolio of images sees Dapper Dan in embroidered suits with all-over fil coupé details, stretch twill evening tuxedos, silk evening shirts and jacquard bow ties designed by Alessandro Michele. Together with Gucci, Dapper Dan will reopen his studio in Harlem later this year, the by-appointment store featuring Gucci fabrics.
