Beetles, moths, ladybugs and butterflies define the new Ottilia handbag collection.
The arthropods crawl from the Alchemist’s Garden, a theme that coursed through the Gucci Fall Winter 2017 collection. Inside this anti-modern laboratory created by Alessandro Michele, Taxonomy, the science of grouping biological organisms is applied to the bags. Numbered insects appear on leather as they would in learning books or display cases. The bag’s shape reflects their eclectic embellishment inspiration, the structured shape features a double flap closure and the House's iconic bamboo top handle.
