Coffee soaked biscuits and creamy custard topped with a dusting of cocoa—tiramisù is a favourite Italian dessert, and Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Beverly Hills’ chef de cuisine Mattia Agazzi has a recipe which comes together in five minutes.
“I describe this dessert as happiness made in a very short time.”
Tiramisù in 5 minutes
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 250 g cream
- 250 g mascarpone
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 400 g American coffee at room temperature
- 1 packet of ladyfingers biscuits
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
Preparation:
In a bowl, combine the mascarpone, the cream, the sugar and the 4 egg yolks. With the help of an electric mixer, incorporate and whisk the ingredients for 10 minutes until a homogeneous cream is obtained.
Start composing the tiramisù—directly on the plate or on a baking sheet—starting with the first layer of cream.
Dip the ladyfingers in the coffee and place them on top of the cream layer.
Proceed in the same way, alternating one layer after another.
Finish with a sprinkling of unsweetened cocoa powder.
