Mapped from curious corners of the world, a lineup of special locations that hold a cultural connection to Gucci, revealing extraordinary beauty and spellbinding stories.
The new project is dedicated to those seeking the unexpected in travel and experiences. Chatsworth, the historic English estate, is unveiled as the first Gucci Place. Fascinated with British culture, from punks to English gardens, creative director Alessandro Michele cites ‘a British attitude’ in his work–and after shooting the Cruise 2017 campaign in the House and grounds, identified Chatsworth as a natural partner for Gucci. An exclusive selection of products from the Gucci Courrier collection will feature two special patches to celebrate the project. On the Gucci App, travelers can consult a dedicated guide to each Place.
Collaborating with garden and landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith, Gucci and Chatsworth have been working since 2019 on the transformation of the 15-acre area known as Arcadia that lies at the heart of the Garden at Chatsworth. Arcadia is conceived as a flowering landscape, with planting on an epic scale. There are open, meadow-like glades giving views out into the park, which contrast with more secret and enclosed shady walks with carpets of woodland flowers. The new garden is now open to visitors.
